Theatre

Hansjorg has lit theatre shows since graduating from Goldsmiths in 1996, working his way up from the London Fringe to the West End. He works regularly with a handful of directors, and particularly enjoys exploring and developing theatre lighting as part of artistic collaboration and ensemble work, enabling lighting to become an integral and organic part of the production. Hansjorg has build up a strong portfolio for lighting both new and established musicals, through his work with directors, Phil Willmott and Clive Paget, and the development of new writing and devised work, through collaborating regularly with the clod ensemble, David Harradine, Anna Furse, and Tim Luscombe.

His theatre work has been seen, in London, at The Venue, The New Players Theatre, The Young Vic, The Soho Theatre, The Arts Theatre, The Lyric Hammersmith, The Finborough Theatre, The Southwark Playhouse, The Bridewell, The Drill Hall, and The Kings Head. Away from London, at both the Liverpool Playhouse and Everyman Theatre, the Mercury in Colchester, the New Vic Theatre in Stoke, Richmond Theatre, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford, Salisbury Playhouse, Watford Palace Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse and the New Wolsey in Ipswich. In Germany, at the Theater der Welt 2005 festival in Stuttgart and the English Theatre in Frankfurt, as well as in venues across Europe and beyond.
